BC Ferries has served notice that it intends to file an application under Section 55(2) of the Coastal Ferry Act seeking approval of a Major Capital Expenditure for two new minor class vessels. The Commissioner anticipates receiving the application on January 3rd 2017 when it will be posted on the Commissioner’s Website.

The Price Cap Compliance Index for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 has been restated to correct an error in its calculation. The commissioners have noted that:
- the revised Fiscal 2017 Q1 Price Compliance Index continued to be under the Price Cap and in compliance;
- the error only affected the Fiscal 2017 Q1 report, no previous reports were affected; and
- there was no impact on the Fiscal 2017 Q1 reported values for the Price Cap Index or the dollar amount under the Cap.

As a result of a request from Seaspan Ferries Corporation and a response from BC Ferries the Commissioner has amended Paragraphs #3 and #4 of the Revised Notice of Procedures Regarding Drop Trailer Regulation under Section 45.1 of the Coastal Ferry Act as follows:
3. The deadline for additional submissions is May 20, 2016.
4. All Interested Parties will be provided the opportunity to submit a final response to any other submission received by the Commissioner by May 20, 2016. Final responses must be filled by June 10, 2016.
